Be Yourself through Body Tattoos

What better way to convey yourself in the hippest way possible than with body art and tattoos? Of all the forms of cool body designs, tattooing is probably one of the most common. The knack of tattooing has been around since the ancient times. Its reasons then ranged from self-expression to body decoration to security of self from evil spirits and bring in good tidings. In present periods, purposes for having tattoos are not that different. Cross tattoos, for example, may work as a religious tattoo or it may simply be a design the wearer chose to decorate himself with.

Permanent tattoo designs differ according to culture, religious beliefs, gender, or personal tastes and selections. Dragon tattoos are more usual among Asians because Western culture don't worship the dragon symbol as much as Asians do. But then, Westerners now seem to be thankful for dragon motifs, and it is quickly becoming one of the more in demand tattoo designs. Fairies and flower tattoo designs, meanwhile, are in general opted by females and the effeminates instead of guys. Yet many tattoo concepts go beyond gender. Flower tattoos, tribal, sun and star tattoos are simply a couple of the countless tattoo designs that is so well-known among girls and boys alike.

Various tattoos have different meanings for various people. Religious tattoo forms such as the well-known Celtic cross tattoos, praying hands, doves, and other holy emblems and icons are simply among the few. Sun tattoos and other forms could also have religious importance according to what the wearer believes in. A number would opt to have emblems representing something about their beliefs, while others would opt to have words and phrases scribbled in ancient text with meanings that go beyond body decoration.

Other tattoo designs possess a deeper, more complicated meaning. Other tattoos are meant to bring in good tidings, shoo away evil spirits, or something that has a connection with the person's cultural and family background. Irish tattoo designs such as the four-leaf clovers, the Celtic cross, shamrock, and several more are related with luck and excellent fortune; while tribal forms such as the more common tribal sun tattoos might be a cultural thing. Dolphin tattoo designs, another ultimate favorite, while they may be identified as a Celtic design, are also considered a Chinese yin-yang symbol depicting harmony and balance.

Nevertheless, the art of tattooing isn't only for the religious people or those who give importance to their culture, beliefs, and family background. Fashion and pop culture are the existing reasons behind the current popularity of body art. Fairy tattoos, flower tattoos, animal and tribal tattoos to name a few are quite common these days. They might not mean anything to the wearer but they definitely are lovely accessories which, simultaneously, showcase their preference in fashion and their character to the others. A sophisticated design such a tiny bunny on the shoulder or the grandious design on the lower back could speak so much. Tattooing is one of the most perfect forms of self-expression; it also implies liberty.
